• Fireball was and still is one of my favourite deep purple albums (I have all of the original releases and some of the later issues - even some of the unfortunately-awful live ones with Bolin and Hughes). As other viewers have commented, this version is missing "Demon's Eye" and features "Strange Kind of Woman" instead/5().

• This is a great anthology of music from the first era of Deep Purple which lasted from until when guitarist Ritchie Blackmore left to form Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio. It features 2 CDs with minutes of great music. EMI certainly gives you a lot of music for your money/5(13).

• As is always the case, a follow-up was in demand, but Deep Purple were plagued with a hectic touring schedule, thus the several start-and-stop visits to the recording studio, which certainly influenced 's "Fireball." Sometimes, Deep Purple pulled together musically better than they did personally, which gave their albums their luster, and /5().
